According to Spanish outlet Radio Marca, Barcelona is willing to part ways with their young midfielder Pedri in the upcoming summer transfer window. Due to this decision, the Catalan club has stopped contract negotiations with the 21-year-old player. Pedri's current contract with Barça runs until the end of June 2026.
The central midfielder from the Spanish national team played 19 league matches in the 2023/2024 season, scoring two goals and providing two assists. He also registered three assists in six Champions League appearances. Pedri's market value amounts to €80 million, according to Transfermarkt website.
On April 27, there were reports about Barcelona planning to sign Liverpool and Colombian national team midfielder Luis Diaz. The following day, it was revealed that Argentine midfielder Guido Rodriguez, playing for Real Betis, was close to finalizing a deal with Barça.
