Bayer's head coach Xabi Alonso commented on his team's victory over Roma in the first semifinal match of the Europa League.

What we are doing in this season is outstanding. We don't want to stop - we want to go on like this until the end of the season.
The meeting in Rome between Roma and Bayer ended with a score of 2-0. The goals in the match were scored by Florian Wirtz and Robert Andrich. The return match will be held on May 9 in Leverkusen.
Recall that Bayer became the champion of the Bundesliga ahead of schedule this season. The team will also play in the finals of the German Cup on May 25.
