StarHub appoints CFO, CMO and creates new role of CSPO
Singaporean telco StarHub announced that it has revamped management team.
Dennis Chia will be the new chief financial officer, Howie Lau will be chief marketing officer and Jeannie Ong will take up the newly created role of chief strategic partnerships officer (CSPO).
These appointments will be effective from 8 July, the company said.
Chia will join StarHub from semiconductor packing and testing firm STATS ChipPAC (Worldwide), where he serves as senior vice president and CFO. He replaces Nicholas Tan, who left StarHub in April.
As well as overseeing StarHub’s finance, Chia will develop and execute key business strategies together with the core leadership team.
Lau, who is currently corporate development vice president of Lenovo's Worldwide Finance Organisation, will chart StarHub’s brand and marketing strategies. He will also oversee StarHub’s Entertainment & SmartLife and Media Business Unit divisions.
Lau replaces Ong, who will move on to take on the new role of building strategic partnerships.
As CSPO, Ong will lead StarHub’s efforts in establishing and maintaining strong strategic relationships with government agencies, content partners, key strategic partners and other complementary companies. She will continue to be responsible for corporate communications, investor relations and corporate sustainability.
