Ronaldo Dismisses Coaching Aspirations After Retirement

Cristiano Ronaldo, forward for Saudi Arabian club Al-Nassr, has shared his thoughts on his future after retiring from sports.

Cristiano Ronaldo
I always like to think outside the standard molds. I have never lived by the principle, “others did it, so I will do the same.” Honestly, this profession does not suit me. Right now, I can say that I will never be a coach, although 'never' is a strong word. The reality is that it’s not in my plans for five, ten, or twenty years. But, as we know, life is full of surprises.

On June 26, Al-Nassr officially announced the extension of the 40-year-old Portuguese forward's contract until 2027. Ronaldo has been with the Saudi club since 2023. In the past season, he played 41 matches across all competitions for Al-Nassr, scoring 35 goals and providing four assists.

Earlier, Ronaldo explained his decision to extend his contract with the Saudi team. The Sun reported that the 40-year-old striker is set to earn approximately 575 million euros over the next two years.
