The International Cricket Council Emerging Women’s cricketer of the year, Annerie Dercksen, has earned her maiden national contract as Cricket South Africa named the 15 players that have been granted contracts for the 2025/26 season.

The 23 year-old Six Gun Grill Garden Route Badgers all-rounder replaces the World Sports Betting Western Province duo of Lara Goodall and Delmi Tucker on the 15-player list.

The rest of the contracted squad includes regular players like Captain Laura Wolvaardt, Anneke Bosch, Tazmin Britz, Nadine de Klerk, Marizanne Kapp, Sune Luus, Ayabonga Khaka, Chloe Tryon and Nonkululeko Mlaba.
Led by captain Wolvaardt and head coach Mandla Mashimbyi, the Proteas Women are gearing up for a significant year ahead. Their preparations will be focused on the ultimate prize in the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup 2025, set to take place in India later this year.
