The WTA Scene in relation to US Open has opened up and as we go deeper, the battle lines will be drawn even more intensely. It takes a lot of toll on bettors to predict the outcomes as the WTA is a maze and you never know when the script is flipped at a rapid rate. Will Lauren Davis be able to flip the script when she takes on the peerless Iga Swiatek in a battle to decide the Round of 16 participation?

Iga Swiatek
Swiatek was imperious in the Second Round effort against Sloane Stephens as she won 6-3, 6-2. In that game, Iga had a 63% first serve and went on to win 77% on first serve. In that game, she did a fabulous job of breaking Sloane’s serve and also earned a 25-15 receiving points courtesy of that. She won five games in a row to put her stamp all over the game and sealed the game.
Swiatek has only dropped eight total games in the four sets she has played thus far. She has dominated the return game and the opposition has had no answer so far. During last couple of months, Swiatek hasn’t looked at her best, fumbling easy points and lacking the steam she had earlier in the year. But seems like she is getting back on her track and retains the tag as one of the favorites to win it all.
Lauren Davis
Lauren moves into the game after a grueling battle against 28-seeded Ekaterina Alexandrova. She lost the first set badly, 0-6 but then came back with a flurry to win the second set 6-4. The last set was a thrilling tiebreaker in which Davis won 10-5. In that game, both players combined for 18 double faults, and despite a 50% first serve, Davis went on to garner a 57-54 service points advantage. Davis has now played two three-set thrillers, defeating Lucia Bronzetti 4-6, 7-6, 5-4 in a walkover win.
Davis has now won two tiebreakers in two games and has come back after being down a set. The last few years have been tough on the USA player, who has reached as high as 26 in 2017. This was the first time that Davis made it past the Second Round during the US Open and her best run during a Grand Slam has come usually during the Australian Open, where she has reached the third round three times.
Iga Swiatek vs Lauren Davis Head-to-Head
This is surprisingly the first time these two will clash.
Expert Betting Tips
Swiatek has not lost four games in a set to start things off. Wins against Sloane Stephens and Jasmine Paolini are sure to boost her confidence and if she gets the first serve going, she is surely going to go all the way. Lauren has been engaging in nerve-wracking affairs thus far and has had a tough draw to kick things off. I believe Swiatek will end her campaign here.
