Daniil Medvedev vs Andrey Rublev Prediction, Betting Tips & Odds │6 SEPTEMBER, 2023

Two Russians, world number three Daniil Medvedev and world number 8 Andrey Rublev, will meet in the quarterfinal match of the US Open Tennis Championships. Daniil is the clear favorite in the pairing, but it's worth noting that Rublev has won two of his last three matches against Medvedev. Let's look at the tennis players' chances of winning on Wednesday.

As we predicted, Medvedev avenged De Minaur for his recent defeat at the Masters in the US Open. The Russian and Australian match lasted two hours and 42 minutes. The Russian even lost the first game with a score of 2:6. Later on, the world number three completely seized the initiative and won three sets in a row 6:4, 6:1, 6:2. During the game, Daniel made 11 aces with six double faults, won 81% of points on the first serve and 41% on the second. Before the match against Alex, Medvedev had knocked out Hungarian Balazs, Australian O'Connell, and Argentine Baez.

Rublev beat Arthur Cazaux in three sets in the first round of the Grand Slam but lost one game each in the next three matches. As a result, Andrey knocked out two more Frenchmen, Monfils and Rinderknech, and Draper of Great Britain. In the match against Draper, we guessed the outcome: Rublev confidently beat the British player, not allowing Jack to take more than one game. Rublev made 14 aces with two double faults during the match, winning 84% of points on the first serve and 66% on the second.

We strongly feel that we should prepare for a rather protracted match. Rublev has learned to beat Daniil, as we saw in Cincinnati and at the Open. However, Medvedev is comfortable enough to play in New York, not forgetting that Medvedev triumphed at the Majors two years ago. Both are in good form; otherwise, they wouldn't have reached such a high stage of the Grand Slam, but to be honest, Rublev looks more interesting statistically, although this may be due to the lower level of Andrey's opponents on the net. Our first bet is the option for a total over. We will also risk betting on the underdog.
