On Thursday, sixth seed Andrey Rublev will face 11th seed Taylor Fritz in the third round of the Cincinnati Open.

Fritz breezed into the second round, defeating an in-form Nick Kyrgios 6-3, 6- 2. The American had impressive match numbers, serving 16 aces to Kyrgios's 7.

Rublev defeated Fabio Fognini in the second round of the Cincinnati Open, 6-7 (7), 7-6 (3), 6-2. His victory came after a surprising defeat to Dan Evans in the first round of the Canadian Open.
Rublev won the Open 13 and the Dubai Tennis Championships back-to-back, defeating Felix Auger Aliassime and Jiri Vesely in the finals. His third triumph came at the Serbia Open, when he defeated Novak Djokovic in the final 6-2, 6-7 (4), 6-0.
Furthermore, the 24-year-old reached the semifinals of the ATP Rotterdam, Indian Wells Masters, Swedish Open, and Citi Open. He also competed in the quarterfinals of the Madrid Open and the French Open, where he lost to Marin Cilic in five sets: 5-7, 6-3, 6-4, 3-6, 7-6. (2).
