Taylor played a match in Monaco and four matches in Munich before the Masters in the Spanish capital. In Madrid Fritz has 4 wins, three in two sets over Italian Darderi, Argentinian Baez and Pole Gurkaca and one in three sets over Cerundolo in the quarter final. The match against Cerundolo lasted an hour and 49 minutes and Taylor won it 6:1, 3:6, 6:3. Andrey Rublev
Rublev failed to perform well on the ground, playing poorly in Monte Carlo and Barcelona. But in Madrid Rublev is doing well, with three convincing victories over Argentine Bañiz, Spaniard Davidovic Fokina and Dutchman Grikspoor, as well as a win over Spaniard Alcaraz, still the reigning winner of the trophy in the Spanish capital. The match against the Spaniard lasted two hours and one minute and Rublev won it in three sets with the score 4:6, 6:3, 6:2. During the game Andrey made five aces and two double faults, won 80% of points on the first serve and 45% on the second.
Expert Betting Tips
We agree that Andrey Rublev should be the favourite in this pairing. After all, Taylor Fritz isn't a profiled groundstroker, although he is doing very well in the current tournament. Andrey has experience of winning big ground tournaments, for example, Rublev won the Monte Carlo Masters last season, but now it seems that the Russian is back on track. At least a win over Alcaraz is worth a lot, especially in Madrid. We believe Rublev will make it to the final of the Masters, but we don't think it will be a quick match.
