The WTA Finals are going to determine who will nab the last big title in the Women’s leg. This has been a great season again with Iga Swiatek dominating the scene, winning three Grand Slams, and being unstoppable throughout the year. Now, we are heading into the final stages and in this Group Stage game, Ons Jabeur will take on Aryna Sabalenka

Ons last played during Jasmin Open where she faced an upset against Claire Liu in three sets. But mostly, this has been the best year for the Tunisian who has made it to the top eight after a number of impressive runs. She reached the Finals of the last two Grand Slams, the US Open and Wimbledon, which showcase her terrific touch. While she remains without a Grand Slam, she has taken steps to get closer. Her serve game has improved and she is one of the most versatile players on the scene. Can she keep her nerves in the Finals scenario?
Aryna Sabalenka
Aryna Sabalenka last played in the Guadalajara Open and lost in the first round to Liudmilla Samsonova. She has been suffering some early defeats this year but during US Open, she made it to the Semis, losing to the eventual champion Iga Swiatek, having beaten Karolina Pliskova before reaching the Final. Sabalenka couldn’t participate in Wimbledon due to political reasons but mostly, she has had some early defeats. She remains in the top eighth due to her total body of work. Will she be able to make a deep run to make amends for an average year overall.
Ons Jabeur vs Aryna Sabalenka Head-to-Head
Ons and Aryna have met thrice and Ons have won twice. They last met during 2021 Wimbledon where Sabalenka racked up an easy two-set win.

While Aryna leads the h2h, her form and Ons’ form have been opposite. Ons has been doing much better on her serve game but it is her ability to employ different sets of strokes that have propelled her to these heights. Sabalenka is a power player as a baseliner but she has committed too many unforced errors. I believe Ons will come on top here, tying the head-to-head but this can go to the last set.
