Sakkari hasn't had the greatest opponents thus far in the competition, with Elise Mertens' 29th-ranked opponent being the highest-ranked player against her.
However, she can only do so much against the competition, and in terms of results, Sakkari has not only won all of her bouts but has done so in style.
The Greek number one has yet to drop a set, and the only time she was challenged was in the second set by Mertens, who took five games off her.
Sakkari recently defeated Petra Martic 6-3, 6-3 in 1 hour and 40 minutes, losing her serve only once. That happened early in the match, after she had already broken Martic.
Sakkari broke Martic three more times after that to finish the rout.
Martina Trevisan
Despite her team's success, it's fair to say Trevisan has been out of her depth in this competition thus far.
In reality, Italy advanced to the semifinals despite losing their Host City Finals tie because they won more sets than the next best team.
And Trevisan's bad performance hasn't helped matters.
She began with a 6-2, 6-0 loss to Beatriz Haddad Maia before losing 6-2, 6-4 to Iga Swiatek in the City Finals. Trevisan's sole victory came against Malene Helgo, a Norwegian with a career-high rating of 319th.’
Now playing the in-form Sakkari, the clay court specialist Trevisan might not get many unforced errors.
