The seventh seed Cameron Norrie of the United Kingdom will face Marcos Giron of the United States in the second round of the 2022 Vienna Open on Thursday, October 27.

In round one, Marcos Giron defeated Tallon Griekspoor in straight sets thanks to a strong performance. The American has been working hard all year, but it hasn't been a terrific year, especially when compared to previous year, when he went 39-25.
It's just 22-29 this year, but it's looking a little better lately since he's really competitive in the slower indoor settings. His style is typical of an American player, with some excellent serves and a decent forehand, but he lacks the power that most Americans do.
He's incredibly athletic and speedy around the court, so he can get points just by hustling, and he competes from beginning to end. I believe he will make this intriguing, but I doubt he will be able to threaten Norrie if the Brit delivers anything slightly comparable to his level.
Cameron Norrie
Pedro Cachin has been playing some excellent tennis recently, and he caught Norrie off surprise in this one. Despite being down a break in the first set, the Brit rebounded brilliantly in the second. He then won the final set in a tough tiebreak to advance.
Norrie is aiming to make it to Turin, but he'll need some exceptional tennis to win here and perhaps Paris. That will be difficult since he is not playing at that level, but he is playing well enough to defeat Giron, whom he has previously defeated.
The Brit does well inside because it helps him to hunt down balls, but he does not attack as well as he should. His forehand has been all over the place in recent weeks, and his overall quality has been wobbly since Wimbledon.
Expert Betting Tips
Norrie won in straight sets in their only meeting. I believe he will win again, but the over may be a safer bet given his recent shakiness and Giron's competitiveness.
