The Chennai Open in 2022 would be the first WTA Tour event in India since 2008. In the final, third seed Magda Linette will face up-and-coming Linda Fruhvirtova. Who do you think will win the championship?

Magda Linette often performs well in Asian WTA Tour tournaments, having reached three of her last four finals on the region (Tokyo, Seoul, Hua Hin). Apart from the lesser fields, the conditions in these events are often relatively similar and plainly favor the Pole. Linette gave out two bagel sets on her way to the final in Chennai and was only put to a tie-break once (by Rebecca Marino).
The Pole has been in good form recently, having reached the 100K final in Grodzisk Mazowiecki and the quarterfinals in Cleveland.
Linda Fruhvirtova
Fruhvirtova's growth slowed slightly over the summer, but she was able to pull herself up and make the second round of the US Open despite beginning in the qualifying draw. Linette won their sole head-to-head battle last year in Cleveland, but the kid remained competitive.
Expert Betting Tips
Fruhvirtova largely depends on her good baseline play and lacks the upside of the Pole. Linette often has difficulty venturing beyond of her comfort zone, but when she is confident, she is capable of picking up the tempo and knocking her opponents off the court. That appears to be what she will have to accomplish here. Her expertise and four previous WTA Tour finals (two victories) should help her relax.
