The US Open is still in its initial stages but we have seen the WTA scene already producing some head-spinning results from the get-go. But all in all, this is barely surprising considering WTA is the most confusing betting minefield that there can be possibly. And will the minefield lay another huge trap as Iga Swiatek goes up against Jasmine Paolini?

Iga Swiatek
Iga was on fire in the first of the year, having won the French Open but her performance has been on the decline in the second half of the season. The year began with a bang but she has lost steam for sure. She hasn’t made it past the third round for multiple tournaments now and that has been rather surprising. Swiatek’s serve game hasn’t been at his best and that is the most surprising thing for Iga who earned her chops as one of the best servers.
As she enters the tournament, the memory of winning the French Open seems a distance away. It isn’t like Swiatek can’t make a deep run or something, but she will really need to focus on the serve as the WTA scene is unforgiving when you are in a slump and even lower-ranked players hunt you down all the time. So will Iga get it together or will it be another lost tournament?
Jasmine Paolini
Jasmine comes into the game after a disappointing second round loss to Rebecca Marino in the second round of Granby Open. She also saw her campaign thwarted in the first round of Cincinnati Masters where she lost to Marta Kostyuk. She did make an impressive run during Poland Open, where she lost to Caroline Garcia in the Semis. Prior to that, she had lost in the first round of Wimbledon to Petra Kvitova.
Iga Swiatek vs Jasmine Paolini Head-to-Head
Iga easily defeated Paolini when the two last met in Prague.
Expert Betting Tips
Iga has been struggling with her serve uncharacterstically and even unseeded players are getting better of her these days. Hard Surface and Grand Slam? Will these factors revive her fortunes? Will we see an Iga special here? Paolini can be a tough competitor but I see Iga sweeping this game in two sets. I think Paolini can force one close set at least
