Eighth seed Tereza Martincova of the Czech Republic will face France's Diane Parry in the second round of the 2022 WTA Granby Open on Wednesday, August 24.

69th in the world Terezza Martincova needed an hour and 38 minutes to beat Oceane Dodin in the first round on Tuesday in Granby.
The 27-year-old Czech was the first to break in the first set, establishing a 4-2 lead, and she then saved eight break opportunities in a 12-deuce seventh game to maintain her lead. Martincova broke again in the following game to win the set.
She was broken in the opening game of the second set and trailed 3-5 a few games later. But Dodin was unable to serve out the set, and Martincova took the next four games in a row to win 6-2, 7-5.
Martincova will seek to win consecutive matches for the third time this season on Wednesday, after losing in the Round of 16 and semifinals in Qatar and Nottingham, respectively.
A win would also advance her to the season's third quarterfinal.
Diane Parry
World No. 81 Diane Parry toughed it out in the first set, before easing past qualifier Lulu Sun in the 81st in the world Diane Parry battled through the first set before cruising over qualifier Lulu Sun in the tournament's first round on Tuesday.
Parry led by a break twice in the first set, but Sun kept pace by breaking back quickly on both instances. She, on the other hand, broke for a third tie and then held serve to win the opening set.
The 19-year-old Frenchman had a strong start in the second, jumping out to a 4-0 lead. Sun broke back, but Parry took the final two games to win 6-4, 6-2.
This season, Parry improved to 17-19 overall and 5-8 on hard courts. She will be attempting to win four consecutive matches on the tour this season. She'd done it at two major tournaments, Roland Garros and Wimbledon, as well as in Palermo.
Following her journey to the last eight in Palermo, a win on Wednesday will place her in her second quarterfinal of the season. She also reached the WTA 125k semifinals in Gaiba.

Parry, ranked No. 81, has been in slightly better form than Martincova and will give the eighth seed a challenge for her money. Martincova should finally progress in three.
