Daniil Medvedev vs Miomir Kecmanovic Prediction: Another Confident Victory for Medvedev?

In the semifinals of the Los Cabos tournament, Daniil Medvedev, the world No. 1, will fight with No. 38 Miomir Kecmanovic. The guys played each other not too long ago on Daniil's hated clay at Roland Garros. Despite Medvedev's dislike for that surface, he beat the Serb in three sets. It is logical that the first racket of the world is quoted as a big favorite.

After a confident win over Australia's Hijikata, Medvedev knocked out Lithuanian Berankis. As we expected, Daniil had no problem taking revenge on the Baltic for his defeat in Dubai. The bout lasted one hour and 21 minutes, 6:2, 6:2 in favor of the first racket of the world. Medvedev made eight aces and one double fault, winning 88% of first-serve points and 54% of second. On the receiving end Daniil's stats were 38%/63%.

For the Serb, the upcoming game will be the third on hard court after the grass part of the season. Before Los Cabos, Kecmanovic played at Wimbledon, reaching the third round but losing to Novak Djokovic in three sets. In Mexico, the Serb did not give a single set, beating Thompson and Nakashima. Kecmanovic won the match against the American for 6:2 and 6:4, firing four times and making one double fault. Kecmanovic won 74% of the points on first serves and 53% on second. Kecmanovic had 32%/62% on the reception.

Expert Betting Tips

Two matches is quite enough for Medvedev to gain form and tonus. It means that a month's downtime and the switch to hard court have some risks for betting. Still, as the match against Berankis, whom Daniel lost to in Dubai, showed, Medvedev, on the contrary, is hungry for victories and just tennis. So it is unlikely that Kecmanovic, beaten by Medvedev at Roland Garros in three sets, can really compete with the first racket of the world.
