Stockholm, Sweden.

In the final of the Stockholm tournament Greek tennis player Stefanos Tsitsipas will meet with Holger Rune of Denmark. The two men played each other once, at Roland Garros 2022, and that meeting was not predictably won by the Danish representative.

Tsitsipas is doing well in Stockholm so far. We hoped the game against Ruusuvuori Tsitsipas would win in two sets. True, we didn't think it would be a quick match, but it was a long shot - an hour and 15 minutes, 6-2, 6-2. Tsitsipas made four aces and two double faults and won 75% of his first-serve points and 59% of his second. Stefanos was 48%/65%. At the Stockholm tournament, he played three matches, winning all 2-0, knocking out Cressy and Ymer. Note that Tsitsipas is playing his seventh final this year, and the Greek has only won two tournaments so far: in Mallorca and Monte Carlo. Tsitsipas lost twice to Djokovic, as well as to Auger-Aliassime and Coric, but beat Davidovich Fokina and Bautista Agut.
Holger Rune
For Rune, the upcoming match against Tsitsipas will be his fifth in the Swedish capital. Before that, he reached the finals in Sofia but lost to Husler in two games. The upcoming final is the third of his career. Although he formally beat Botic van de Zandschulp in Munich because the Dutchman withdrew due to injury, 4:3 in his favor. We can say that the Dane has not yet won the finals. He has four victories in Stockholm, knocking out Monteiro, Garin, Norrie, and De Minaur. The match against the Australian lasted nearly three hours: 4-6, 7-6, 7-5. Rune fired three times and double faults, got 72% of his first serve and 41% of his second, and 43% of his receptions with 45/33 winners/unforced errors.
Expert Betting Tips
In the match against Ruusuvuori, we saw that Tsitsipas was in great shape. And the fact that he lost to Rune at Roland Garros in 2022 only adds to his motivation. Tsitsipas is more experienced than the Dane. Stefanos won two tournaments in 2022 and played six times in the finals. While the Dane has not won a single ATP tournament, van de Zandschulp in Munich withdrew with a positive score. We predict that today Tsitsipas will take confident and full-fledged revenge against Rune for the defeat in Paris.
