We are in the closing stages of the Stuggart Open and this has been a fun tournament as expected. It acts as the training ground for many players who have the Wimbledon tournament coming soon. And interestingly, only one seeded player remains in Stuggart Open, and that is Matteo Berrettini who will take on Oscar Otte. And in the other Semi-Final game, Andy Murray will face off against Nick Kyrgios.

Andy has been on fire during the tournament. His biggest accomplishment in the recent times came when he took down the number-one seeded player Stefan Tsitsipas and that surely will bolster his confidence. He beat Alexander Bublik 6:3, 7:6 in the Round of 16. He beat Christopher O’Connell in the first round 6:4, 6:3. Murray who has fallen to his lowest rankings in a long time has found some groove here.
The hip and groin injuries have surely affected his game but his second serve win percentage has been strong in the last two games. Seems like his approach to use double-backhand and being an elite defender on the baseline has surely helped him prolong his career. It will be interesting to see how he will respond to Nick in this game, who can put opponents off-guard with his unorthodox style.
Nick Kyrgios
Nick has fallen behind a bit for a couple of years but the Australian has been doing a great job in this tournament. This season has been up-and-down and the Aussie still struggles against top-ten players. However, he has done well so far. He beat Jiri Lehecka in the first round comfortably. The second round was much trickier as he had to engage in a three-set battle versus Nikoloz Basilashvili.
He comes into the game after beating Marton Fuscovics after nailing the first-set win in a close affair whereas, in the second round, Marton conceded the game via a walkover. Nick likes to approach the game aggressively and uses under-handed serves but he will need to keep his calm as Murray is great during long exchanges

It can’t be better than this, Murray, who looks like on a mission against Kyrgios who is looking to reinvent himself. In fact, both of these players are looking to go back to their premier phase, which makes this an interesting battle for sure. The other interesting aspect here is that the Wimbledon is just a couple of weeks away, and this is a great practice game for both of these amazing players. This is a tough one to predict but I’d back Nick here and this one to reach three sets.
