After failing at Wimbledon, Andrey played two dirt tournaments in Bastad, Sweden and Umag, Croatia. In Sweden, he lost his first game against Tirante. In Croatia, the Russian played slightly better, stronger than Argentine Hugo Carabelli and Hungarian Marozhan, but lost to Cherundolo, the future winner of the draw. In Washington, the Russian had one win, beating Frenchman Van Assche 4:6, 6:3, 6:4, the match lasted an hour and 44 minutes.
Arthur Rinderkneh
For the Frenchman, the tournament in Washington is his second hardcourt tournament after the grass part of the season. Last week Arthur played four matches on Atlanta's hard court, where he lost to Nishioka. In Washington, Rinderkneh faced China's Shang in the round of 32 of the draw, but the match was not completed, the Asian withdrew from the tournament with the score 3:2 in the first set in his favour.
Expert Betting Tips
Andrey started in Washington with a three set win over Van Assche, but it's worth noting the fact that Andrey lost the first set and was gaining noticeably as the match progressed. There is a lot of evidence that Rublev will play better next game and get a more confident victory over another Frenchman. The Russian is also highly motivated, after a series of setbacks, Andrey has slipped to eighth place in the rankings and may well fall out of the ATP top 10 if he doesn't achieve success at one of the tournaments in the near future.
