Alize Cornet also won her third consecutive match without dropping a set, although her quarterfinal against Tamara Zidansek was significantly more difficult than the first two rounds.

Veronika Kudermetova had another dominant performance to advance to the Jasmin Open quarterfinals.

The World No. 12 dropped serve in the opening game of her quarterfinal against Diane Parry on Friday, but recovered quickly and never looked back, defeating the Frenchwoman 6-4, 6-1 in an hour and 29 minutes.

In the match, the Russian hit eight aces and won 90% (26 of 29) of her first serve points. She converted four of the eleven break points she faced while saving one.

Kudermetova won the competition for the third time in a row, having previously reached the semifinals at the Japan Open.

Kudermetova had started her campaign with a first-round 6-1, 6-0 thrashing of Varvara Gracheva. She did lost a couple games in the second round, but she dominated Magdalena Frech in a 6-3, 6-4 victory.

Kudermetova has been very steady all season and has demonstrated excellent form in the competition. In the semi-finals, the Russian is expected to beat the Frenchwoman.
