Joe O'Connor is a professional snooker player from Leicester, England. O'Connor, a junior pool champion, has competed against Neil Robertson and Mark Selby at the UK Championship and has qualified for the main draw at the Wuxi Classic. During the 2017–18 English amateur tour, he won four events.
O'Connor won the 2018 EBSA Play-Offs at the English Institute of Sport in Sheffield, defeating Brandon Sargeant 4–1 and then Oliver Brown 4–0 to secure a two-year professional tour card for the first time. O'Connor defeated top ten players Kyren Wilson, Ding Junhui, and John Higgins on his way to his first ranking event semi-final at the Welsh Open in February 2019, losing 2–6 to Stuart Bingham.
Duane Jones – Ranked 72
Duane Jones is a Welsh professional snooker player. Jones qualified for the 2016 Indian Open by defeating Yu Delu 4–2, and he barely defeated Liam Highfield 4–3 in the opening round to reach the last 32 of a ranking tournament for the first time, where he lost 4–1 to Peter Ebdon. He advanced to the second round of three of the four Home Nations championships but was eliminated each time.
He finished the year outside the top 64 but quickly recovered his professional status with a win in Q-School event two. Jones' victories over Simon Bedford, Peter Delaney, Declan Brennan, Hao Hu, and Alex Davies assured his return to the tour for the next two seasons.
