Jamie Jones is a Neath-based Welsh professional snooker player. At the age of 14, he was the youngest player ever to make a maximum 147 break in competition, a record that Judd Trump has since surpassed. Jones reached his first ranking quarter-final in the 2012 World Snooker Championship. At the 2016 UK Championship, he reached the quarter-finals of a Triple Crown competition for the second time.
Jones fell 4–1 against Tom Ford in the quarter-finals of the 2016 Paul Hunter Classic after dropping only two frames. At the UK Championship, he defeated Eden Sharav 6–1 in the first round before going on to defeat Alan McManus, Ding Junhui, and David Gilbert 6–2 to become the only player in history to reach two ranking event quarter-finals in the same season. Jones had an excellent chance to reach his second semi-final after leading Marco Fu 5–2, but he lost 6–5. Jones led Graeme Dott 4–0 in the last World Championship qualifying round, but was defeated 10–8.
Billy Joe Castle – An English Professional Snooker Player
Billy Joe Castle is a professional English snooker player who was born in Marchwood, Hampshire. Castle won six matches at Q-School in May 2017 to obtain a two-year card on the World Snooker Tour for the 2017–18 and 2018–19 seasons. Prior to this, Castle competed in the 2015 English Amateur Championship final, where he was defeated 6–10 by Michael Rhodes. He won the competition in 2017 by defeating David Lilley 10–8.
