Barry Hawkins is a professional English snooker player from Ditton, Kent. He went professional in 1996 but rose to fame during the 2004–05 snooker season, reaching the last 16 of the 2004 UK Championship, the quarter-finals of the 2004 British Open, and the semi-finals of the 2005 Welsh Open. He has now spent twelve seasons in a row rated inside the top 32. At the 2012 Australian Goldfields Open, Hawkins reached his first ranking final and won his first ranking championship.
Hawkins has now reached the World Championship semi-finals in 2014, 2015, 2017, and 2018, and he has finished second in the Masters in 2016 and 2022.
Zhang Anda – Trying to Make a Comeback with Gibraltar Open 2022
Zhang Anda made his debut on the Main Tour in 2009-10, qualifying by winning ACBS Asian Under 21 Championship. The 24 year old from China has been playing professionally since he was just 16 years old and is now one of the most promising snooker players! Zhang resides in Sheffield, England, during the snooker season and practices at the Victoria Snooker Academy.
In the 2019/2020 season, Zhang remained outside the Top 64 for the whole season due to a very bad run of form and could not reproduce recent accomplishments. In the 2020/2021 season, he dropped outside the Top 64 and lost his Tour card due to his previous terrible season.
