Paris will host the best breakers who have tapped into Michael Joseph Jackson’s grace in dancing and are ready to show the world that breaking is more of a sport than just a musically influenced dance. The boys breaking event will be held at the Place de la Concorde on August 10 from 14:00 GMT. The final battle will start at 19:23 GMT. Victor Leads the Race
According to bookmakers, Victor Montalvo leads the race for this year’s summer Olympics in Paris, and it is genuinely deserving, no disrespect to other breakers. Victor has been on the talking stage recently in the breakdancing world. He recently won the men’s title at the 2023 WDSF World Breaking Championships in Leuven, Belgium, ahead of close rival Philip Kim, and the win automatically gave him the ticket for this summer Olympics. In dancesport at the 2022 World Games in Birmingham, United States, at Sloss Furnaces, and the Legacy Arena, he won gold ahead of his compatriot, Jeffrey Mike Louis, who claimed the silver medal.
Victor started winning medals in breaking from age 21, and is currently a two-time Red Bull BC One World Champion. He is a core member of the Squadron crew, MF Kidz and the Red Bull BC One All-Stars. Phil Wizard is a close rival of Victor and he will surely give the American a run for his money. Phil Wizard is also one of the biggest names in the B-boying industry. The Canadian was the Undisputed World BBoy in 2018 and won the gold medal at the Pan American Games in November 2023. He has also won the men’s title at the 2022 WDSF World Breaking Championships and was a silver medal winner in 2021 and the recent championship in 2023.
