Yair's got a top-notch wrestling game, close to championship level, but he's also had losses to Volkanovski and Ortega. Rodriguez's fighting style is very intricate, his leg kicks are impossible to calculate, and that elbow can be replayed endlessly. He loves fighting on his feet, never turns down the chance to get hurt and is pretty good at wrestling, but he tries to avoid it as much as possible. The fight with Pitbull is a big deal for Yair and couldn't have come at a better time. He can't afford to lose, especially after two losses in a row.

Patricio 'Pitbull' Freire is without a doubt a legendary fighter, a former Bellator champion in two weight categories (he's had seventeen title fights, by the way!) and possibly the best fighter in this league ever. He's great at counterattacking, hits hard and his takedowns are sudden and lightning fast.

But he's had twenty years of pro fighting, 43 fights (loads of them really intense) and he's missed loads of punches. We're talking about the loss of his main advantage, which is his speed, and the effect of fatigue from fights. Freire will be trying to forget last year as a nightmare (two fights and two defeats, one of them by knockout), and the last victory over Jeremy Kennedy didn't convince anyone (the guy from that fight started a series of three defeats). But, of course, Pitbull isn't embarrassed by it. He still speaks beautifully and he's just as good as he was in those years when he was Bellator champion.

Pitbull's still decided to prove to the world that he is a fighter - the level of the UFC tops, and this new wonderful world of Dana White will not surprise him. Freire's decision might be a bit late, because even when he's fighting against Bellator he hasn't been that dominant lately, and he's pretty much had his best years behind him. It'll be interesting to see how the tiny, old Brazilian matches up with the fast and powerful Rodriguez. There's a feeling he'll just look for a transfer to the floor, as he does his thing, fending off counter-punches with his face and liver, copying his famous pressing. We're expecting a real 'bloodbath' here, full of drama, but the fight probably won't end early. The guys can hold their punches well and very rarely lose their orientation in space.
