On June 3 in Warsaw, the next tournament of a large European league, KSW, will be held. The legendary Chechen fighter Mamed Khaldilov will face the Briton Scott Askham in the main event. This is possibly the most significant fight trilogy in KSW history. Both already have one monumental victory over each other, and their third bout will be a massive event for European MMA.

Mamed Khalidov left Chechnya for Poland at sixteen and made a name for himself in KSW. Here he had almost all his fights and became a real European star. From 2010 to 2017, Khalidov claimed fourteen consecutive victories, but since 2018 his career has gone downhill - six battles and only two wins.
His two bouts with Askham fit into the same series. In the first one, he lost by the judges' decision, and the second one knocked out the Briton in the first minute of the fight with his knee. In his last bout, the 42-year-old Chechen won by TKO over the icon of Polish sport Mariusz Pudzianowski.

That TKO loss to Khalidov was the last fight for Askham, and he last fought in October 2020. But Scott had a glorious career, two titles (BAMMA and KSW), several "Fight of the Night" bonuses, and most knockout victories.
