On the night of November 25, the finals of the PFL Grand Prix will take place in the United States. In one of the fights the Russian Magomed Magomedkerimov will fight for the title and one million dollars against the Swedish fighter Sadibou Sy. The bout will take place in the welterweight category. The fighters met in 2021, and then Magomed, without any problems, made it to the floor, where he completely dominated. In the end, he won by unanimous decision.

Before his appearance in mixed martial arts, Magomed Magomedkerimov won the World Pankration Championship, the Russian Championship in hand-to-hand combat, and many other less significant contests. He started competing professionally in 2008, joined the PFL in 2018, and became a champion. Since then, he failed only one fight (again in the finals) and is currently riding a five-fight winning streak. Magomedkerimov had three bouts this season. He finished the first two in the first round but faced Solomon Renfro in the semifinals. He failed to finish the American, but there was probably no such goal - Magomed confidently took the win on points in his style.
This is not to say that Magomed is a smart one. He is equally good in all aspects; he is not looking for hype and screams of admiration. He does his job and does it well. His kickboxing base helps him in the standing, and there is nothing to say about the parterre - he is Dagestani.
Sadibou Sy
Last year, Sadibou Sy won the title and a million dollars; this year, he has reached the finals again. He hasn't lost to anyone in two years; his last loss was to Magomedkerimov. He is now on a seven-fight winning streak, the last of which was a split decision over Carlos Leal. Still, Sadibu is a one-sided fighter (when talking about the highest level). He is very intimidating on the feet, but he is utterly helpless on the ground against a top fighter.
Expert Betting Tips
The bout scenario is not very difficult to predict. Magomedkerimov's task is to get the fight down quickly; then, it's a matter of technique. The longer he tortures his opponent on the parterre, the easier it will be for him as the fight progresses - there are big questions about the Swede's stamina. All the odds favor the Russian fighter, and he will win if he doesn't make any mistakes with his game plan.
