The bout will take place in the heavyweight division. Curtis Blaydes is number four in the official UFC rankings and Tom Aspinall is sixth. In bookmaker's betting odds the English fighter is a slight favorite.

The fans know Curtis Blaydes very well, who was pointed out his mistakes and shortcomings by Alexander Volkov. However, after him, Blades was suddenly knocked out by Derrick Lewis. Then, he got two solid wins, returned to the title race, and in his last fight won by technical knockout over dangerous Chris Daukaus. Curtis is a top wrestler, but he wins mostly by technical knockouts. But these are all consequences of his phenomenal aggressive fighting - he breaks them in parterre and punches them with powerful ground and pound. In my opinion, Curtis Blaydes is the toughest challenge in the division. So, for me to look past that, it’s basically suicide. When I’ve got a fight, all I’m thinking about is my opponent. I couldn’t care less about what anybody else does. For me, I think if I start thinking about other opponents. I’m just taking my eye off the challenge in front of me. It’s heavyweight MMA, you can’t be surprised by anything. Not even in this division, but in this sport, you can never be surprised. The heavyweights are so big, we can all beat each other

Bookmakers see the Englishman as the favorite as he is going undefeated and fights at home. But Alexander Volkov, whose style is similar to his, has taught Blades a lot. Obviously, Curtis will learn from his mistakes. But he probably won't do it right away, and in the first two rounds, he'll just try to survive. Tom Aspinall has never even made it to the third round, and there will be five rounds here, so the championship ones should be Blades' territory.
Nevertheless, the bookmakers consider the Englishman to be the favorite and that's good news for the bettor.
