Conor McGregor vs Michael Chandler Prediction: Bet on the American to win

UFC 303 will take place on 30 June in Las Vegas, in the main event of which we will see the return to the cage of Conor McGregor. His opponent will be Michael Chandler.

Conor McGregor is MMA, and thanks to this man, mixed martial arts is incredibly popular now. All that he has done for the sport, we will not list here, but only note the fact that all of this is already history, albeit covered with glory. And now the legendary Irishman is already 35 years old, he hasn't fought for three years, and for the last six years, he won only once - in a very strange fight in just forty seconds against the veteran Donald Cerrone, who was losing to everyone in a row.

Conor fought Dustin Puryear twice in 2021, both times losing early, with the second fight suffering a serious injury.

Since then, McGregor has not performed but has been doing more important things - starring in films, throwing parties on his yacht, suing over traffic offenses and an attack on his pub, and, of course, appearing on social media, not letting himself be forgotten.

His motivation for stepping out of his comfort zone and fighting to the death isn't entirely clear, and the long downtime and injuries only add to that misunderstanding. However, Conor is certainly confident in his success.

Michael Chandler will not become a champion, but a fight with Conor is a gift from God and Dana White, which will allow him to provide himself and his family with money for the rest of his life. Chandler fought hard on the internet to get this fight, and he got his way. The result of the fight, as strange as it may sound, is secondary; the main thing is that it takes place so that McGregor does not get into some story before the 30th of June.

Last year Michael did not have a single fight, but before that he was very active, fought regularly, although unsuccessfully. In the last four fights he lost three times, and was able to win only over Tony Ferguson, supporting the general flash mob. He's beaten Charles Oliveira (by TKO), Justin Gaige (on points) and Dustin Puryear (by submission), so those defeats don't count, these guys beat everyone not in their party.

The way Michael fights - the fans like it, he does not pass in front of the best, he does not take care of himself and if he hits Conor the way he hit, for example, Gagey, then McGregor will have to turn to the best medicine in the world again.

If Conor survives the first round, however, he'll have a chance (but it's not certain). Of course, provided McGregor is one hundred percent ready for this fight.

All predictions come down to the fact that experts take into account the "ideal" Conor, which, in our opinion, will not be. Well, it's impossible to return to what it was when you don't fight for a long time, when you are already 35 years old, and your life is as comfortable and prosperous as possible. Conor was strong with emotions and a brutal attitude, but now he's not the same anymore.

We, frankly speaking, do not believe that McGregor will be able to withstand the onslaught and lightning fast short series of Chandler in the first round. And the second, if it does come down to it.
