Arman lost the fight on points, giving Islam the most challenging battle. He still does not agree with the referee's decision and dreams of revenge.

But then an unknown thing happened - he suddenly became a notorious jiu-jitsu fighter, went over the top, set record after record (for many early wins, wins by submission), and finally became the champion in the most competitive division, knocking out Michael Chandler.

In 2022, he lost the belt (he couldn't keep up with the weight), but Justin Gaethje still choked him in the first round. Then he lost to Makhachev and knocked out Dariush.

All the talk about Oliveira not being the same came after the loss to Islam, in which the Brazilian was frankly bad. It is his only unsuccessful fight in the last five years (although he fought exclusively with the best), and the reasons for this are still in the dark (but most likely they are psychological).
