Vancouver is suffering from a lack of stability in the current regular season. Suffice it to say that the Canucks started the season with seven defeats in a row, after which they actively began to correct the situation, but after a good series, they again allow a series of failures. At the end of December, the Canucks seemed to be able to score a decent move, which allowed them to get three wins in a row, but then they lost to Winnipeg – 2:4, Calgary – 2:3, and the day before they were completely defeated in their native walls by the Islanders – 2:6. Three consecutive defeats in regular time dropped Vancouver to 12th place in the Western Conference standings.
Colorado Avalanche
So far, Colorado cannot bring the current regular season to its asset, but the reasons for the failures are on the surface. Last season, the Avalanche won the Stanley Cup, after which they had a short offseason, which did not allow the leaders to rest and recover. As a result, a series of injuries, due to which the Avalanche has not yet played in full. Nevertheless, for a long time they tried to consistently cling to points, and they fell apart only at the junction of December and January, allowing a series of four defeats in a row. Now Colorado is only in ninth place in the Western Conference standings, but there are reserves for improving the game.
Expert Betting Tips
Vancouver and Colorado are approaching a full-time confrontation, being in poor current form. The Canadians have lost in three previous meetings, and the Americans have lost four in a row. Obviously, one of these unsuccessful series will be interrupted by the results of the upcoming game, and the chances of success in this battle are greater for Avalanche, who, although suffering from injuries, have a more balanced, experienced and masterful composition.
Vancouver and Colorado now do not differ too much in the productivity of the attack, but their defense is so problematic that we have the right to expect a productive battle. In the last three matches, the Canucks have conceded 13 goals (4.33 on average per game), and the Avalanches in the four previous battles have allowed their goal to be hit 19 times (4.75 on average per game).
