The Islanders continues to be a participant of the fierce battle for the last cup places. More recently, the Islanders' chances of ultimate success were seen as slim, but they did begin improving at the finish of the regular season and now it's all in their hands. They had a slump at the equator in March when they lost six games in a row, but then things took a turn for the better. In the last seven meetings, the Blue-and-Orange allowed only two defeats, failing to cope with New Jersey and Tampa Bay - 0:4 and 1:4, respectively, and in the remaining five battles won without fail. This spurt allowed them to climb to seventh place in the Eastern Conference standings.
NAS Predators
Nashville is having a very curious season. The Predators didn't have a good debut in the regular season, but then they repeatedly had bright winning stretches, but they were followed by a series of failures. By the end of January, the results had gone downhill, but as it turned out, it was just the calm before the storm, as they managed to put together an 18-match point streak that included 16 wins and two losses outside of regulation time. Obviously, they overworked themselves during this period, so they went on to lose three straight, but the day before they were stronger than St. Louis, 6:3, which allowed them to maintain sixth place in the Western Conference standings.
Expert Betting Tips
Islanders and Nashville at the finish of the regular season continue to fight for the playoffs. The Predators' position looks much more comfortable, but they don't quit playing and continue to collect points to get the highest seeding in the cup battles. The Islanders are located on the very edge of the top-8 of the Eastern Conference and vitally need points, but to get them in the upcoming confrontation will be extremely difficult. The fact is that the history of head-to-head meetings is in favor of the Yellow and Blue, having won the last ten meetings in a row.
Nashville was not characterized by too open and spectacular hockey, but at the finish line suddenly began to play cheerfully and cheerfully, and therefore the performance has gone up sharply. In the previous five games, the Predators had 44 shots on goal (8.80 average per game), which is a very high number in itself, and four out of five times they scored and conceded at least three goals.
