It seemed that with such results, they could interfere in the struggle for the playoffs, but nothing of the sort happened. After a successful stretch, the Ducks had an 8-match streak without scoring points, after which they barely beat Colorado in a shootout - 4:3, but this local success did not allow them to believe in themselves. The Black-and-Orange suffered one setback after another, slipping to the penultimate place in the Western Conference standings.
