They also intend to fight for it this season, even if they're still outside the top eight. In the middle of December, Darryl Sutter's wards suffered a setback when they failed five games. That made their life more difficult. Fortunately, after that, there were two wins over San Jose, 5-2 and 70-3, but the day before, they lost to Los Angeles - 3-4. Calgary is now ninth in the Western Conference.

Calgary has a modest season, but in comparison with Anaheim, they are doing just fine. The Red and Yellows are currently in the middle of the Western Conference standings. The Ducks have more problems. They've lost five of their last seven games and are among the league's outsiders. What's more, the last three head-to-head meetings have been with the Canadians.

Calgary has beaten Anaheim regularly lately. Also, they've been scoring heavily. In the previous six encounters, the Flames have sent to the Ducks 28 goals (4.67 average per game). And the Red and Yellows have to reveal their offense, as the Californians have a weak defense.
