Even if they brought in a modestly named squad that started the tournament abysmally, they still managed to improve in the playoffs and reach the deciding games. The Redblacks are bringing a very strong roster to the 2024 World Cup. The roster includes goalkeeper Jordan Binnington, defencemen Owen Power and Colton Parayko, forwards Connor Bedard, Dylan Cozens and 2021 World Cup hero Andrew Mangiapane. Prior to the start of the 2024 World Cup, the Canadians beat Austria and Hungary in friendly games, 5:1 and 4:0, respectively.
