Ryder qualified for the 2016 Web.com Tour after finishing fourth in the PGA Tour Canada Order of Merit in 2015. Ryder won the Pinnacle Bank Championship, his first Web.com event, by eight shots in July 2017. He earned a spot on the PGA Tour for the 2018 season by placing second in the final Web.com Tour regular season rankings in 2017. Ryder earned his way into the FedExCup Playoffs for the second time in 2019 after placing 107th overall. Ryder finished 2020 as the 108th-best golfer in the world, good enough to make the FedExCup Playoffs for the third time in his career. On the 16th hole at TPC Scottsdale in 2022, Ryder became the 10th player to ace the hole at the Phoenix Open.
Gabe Reynolds
Gabe Reynolds tied for fourth place in the 2023 PGA Professional Championship, his best finish to that point. This was his fourth appearance in the tournament overall and his third in a row. The Northern Texas PGA Metro Chapter Championship in 2022, the Northern Texas PGA Section Assistants Championship in 2012, the Southern Texas PGA Club Car Memorial Championship in 2015, and the San Antonio Open in 2009 were all won by Gabe Reynolds. The American will enter this tournament hoping to add to his impressive resume with a strong showing.
Brandon Wu
After finishing tied for 61st at the 2019 Korn Ferry Tour Final Qualifying Tournament, Brandon Wu became a pro and earned conditional status for the 2020 tour season. Not until the 13th tournament of the year, the Price Cutter Charity Championship, did he make his PGA Tour debut. His tie for 9th place there gave him enough priority points to play in four events that granted entry based on the points list. He placed second in the Albertsons Boise Open and first at the Korn Ferry Tour Championship among the four tournaments he played in. He tied for third at the 2022 Puerto Rico Open, finished second at the 2022 Mexico Open, and tied for sixth at the 2022 Genesis Scottish Open.

The outcome of this clash will depend heavily on experience and level of play, both of which Brandon Wu possesses to the greatest extent possible. Therefore, despite the fact that both Sam Ryder and Gabe Reynolds are expected to perform to the best of their abilities, it is impossible for these two golfers to compete at Brandon Wu's level.
