Real Salt Lake vs Los Angeles FC Prediction: First home game should be better.

Los Angeles FC will take the trip to Rio Tinto a Stadium to face Real Salt Lake who are looking rather troubled at the moment.

Real Salt Lake have suffered a defeat and a draw in the opening 2 games of the new campaign and they are eager to get their very first win. While Los Angeles won the only game they played so far and they are looking for win number 2.

The last encounter between these two clubs was in October last year and Real Salt Lake won the game by a single goal scored by Cristian Arango. However, the last time Los Angeles played at the Rio Tinto Stadium, they ran riot and won by a comfortable 3-0 scoreline.

They suffered an opening day defeat against Inter Miami CF at the DRV PNK Stadium. And then they played a 1-1 draw against St. Louis City SC at the City Park, courtesy of Cristian Arango’s opening goal in the 74th minute.

Real Salt Lake seemed to improve significantly in the game against Saint Louis City compared to the Inter Miami game.

Andres Gomez was particularly poor in the game and he was replaced by Anderson Julio in the 66th minute. They fell just behind in terms of possession as they managed 44%, but they had brilliant moments of counter attacking football. Veteran goalkeeper Hugo Lloris seemed to have settled in perfectly in the team. He was between the sticks and he had quite a brilliant game. With the team playing brilliantly in attack, Steven Cherundolo will definitely look to retain that shape and style for the coming game against Real Salt Lake.
