The Luxembourg team had an excellent start to the Euro-2024 qualification. Being the clear outsider, this modest team managed not to lose away to strong Slovakia. The game was uneventful and dangerous, resulting in a 0:0 draw. To be fair, the Slovaks were stronger, but they failed to penetrate the Luxembourg defense. It is unlikely that the Luxembourg team can seriously claim qualification to the final part of the tournament.

The Portuguese national team in the first round of the European Championship 2024 got a straightforward opponent, which did not give it any resistance. In Lisbon, the Portuguese beat Liechtenstein 4:0. Cristiano Ronaldo scored a double, while Bernardo Silva and Joao Cancelo scored goals. One could not expect any other result here, and Portugal is now leading the group standings.

We think that the Portuguese national team will beat Luxembourg without any problems. They handled Liechtenstein, scoring four unanswered goals. Luxembourg, of course, will be stronger, but it is unlikely to be able to stop Cristiano Ronaldo and company.
