Nice has not yet won their first win in the current Conference League. On Matchday 3 the Eagles will meet the Czech club Slovacko. Will they be able to break their losing streak?

In the Czech championship Slovacko cannot compete with the local giants, and in the European competitions they got as the winners of the domestic Cup. Now the team is only 10th in their home league, but the good news is that at least the long winless streak was interrupted. After seven games without a win, Martin Svedik's men beat Zlin 2-0 on the road. The advantage of Slovacko in terms of the number of shots on goal was minimal (11-10), but they had more dangerous moments in European competitions. The team missed a lot, and it could well have come to a rout. The deciding goal came from Merchas Doski, Slovacko's top scorer in the league.

Nice had only three wins in 13 games this season and the club's management must have regretted the appointment of Lucien Favre as head coach. The Eagles had one good season under the Swiss specialist, but now it somehow does not add up. Nice hardly create chances at the goal, and there are problems with the realization of few chances. However, in the last round the team looked decent against PSG, and it is worth noting the competent defense of the Eagles. For a long time the real threat to Nice's goal came from free kicks, and eventually one of the set-pieces resulted in a missed goal. At the beginning of the 2nd half Lucien Favre's men even managed to get back into the game, but close to the final whistle they lost concentration and conceded again. The result was 1-2 in favor of the Parisians.

Slovacko may not make it to the top half of the table even in the Czech championship and it is unlikely we will see this team in the European competitions in the coming years. Last round the hosts performed well in the attack, but now they will face a much more serious opponent. Nice is one of the few teams that were more or less successful in defense against PSG, so the Eagles' defense is less of a concern than the attack.
