Celtic will try to win their 12th league game in a row when they play Hibernian at Easter Road on Wednesday night. Even though Hibs won their last game, they are still in seventh place in the Scottish Premiership standings. Celtic, the team in first place, has nine points more than the team in second place.

Hibs' long-term future with Lee Johnson is in doubt after a stretch of seven losses out of eight league matches. On Christmas Eve, though, the Edinburgh club put together one of their best performances of the season and beat Livingston by a score of four goals to zero. Hibs got a man sent off early, but scoring four times in 17 minutes before and after halftime can only boost confidence as they look to pull off an upset against the league leaders. There are only two points between third and ninth place, so even with their recent slump, Hibs are still in the hunt for third place.
Celtic - Celtic to get a tough away win
Even though Celtic has been the best team in the Premier League this season, they can't say that their last few games were their best. They had won their previous four games by a single goal, so Ange Postecoglou would have expected his players to put on a strong performance against one of the teams in the division that is improving the most. However, even though it was their second clean sheet in six games, Postecoglou will only focus a little on that as he and his team try to stop any momentum building somewhere else in Glasgow. This is especially true for this game since a loss at Easter Road could give Rangers a chance to close the gap to three points if they also win the Old Firm derby at Ibrox on January 2.
