MC Alger vs CR Belouizdad Prediction: I think this highly anticipated Algerian Derby will end in favour of the hosts

Two of the top teams in the history of the competition will face off at the Stade du 5 Juillet Stadium. MC Alger will continue their mission of defending the Algerian League title when they face off against CR Belouizdad tomorrow. The Mouloudians will strive to avenge their cup loss against their opponent in front of their home audience on Wednesday.

The Dean extended their unbeaten league run to nine, scoring once against MC El Bayadh to cart away the maximum points. After a difficult time breaking down the host team, MC Alger scored from their first shot at goal in the second half, which was enough to earn them all the points despite being a man down. 

Patrice Beaumelle's men have had difficult fixtures since the season began and only have one more top-four team to play after this encounter. They’ve been decent and kept it simple lately after scoring a goal in each of six meetings.

Corentin Martin's men head here with their first victory of the season as they defeated the newly promoted ES Mostaganem side. The Red and White scored more than a goal for the first time since June.  

CR Belouizdad have managed just a win over their last five away games this season.

Over their previous twenty meetings, MC Alger have won four while CR Belouizdad have managed six wins and ten games ending in a tie. CR Belouizdad have started the season poorly, winning once in seven league games. It was a run inspired by their indecisive display in front of goal and lack of concentration at the back. I personally think MC Alger are better, and considering they play on their home turf, I will back them to at least pick up a point here. My reason is that they have managed just a win at home this season and have settled for three stalemates on their home turf.

This fixture have yielded less than a goal in over six meetings, and I think a total of under 1.5 goals will surface here for 2.27.

I also think both teams will play with caution at the break, and the second half might witness a goal.
