Sassuolo vs Bologna Prediction: Will the Neroverdi be able to take revenge for their defeat?

In the first leg, Sassuolo lost away to Bologna 0:3. Will the Neroverdi be able to take revenge for that defeat? Here are a few bets on another round 34 fixture in the Italian Championship.

Sassuolo

The team has suffered three defeats in their last five games - to Verona (1:2), Salernitana (0:3), and Lazio (0:2). All of those defeats were on the road. The Neroverdi have picked up points in five successive rounds - four wins and one draw. Especially when they beat Juventus (1:0) at home. Sassuolo sits 13th in the standings. They are no longer in danger of relegation from Serie A, and should they continue to perform consistently, at least on home soil, they could move up.

Bologna

The Red and Blue have been noticeably tired of late. That's why Bologna has not won in the previous four rounds. During this stretch, the team suffered two away defeats - 1:2 at the hands of Verona and 1:3 at the hands of Empoli. On home soil, Bologna was 1:1 against AC Milan and Juventus, but they were not without luck in both cases. The Bologna side is ninth in the standings and unlikely to improve their position before the end of the league season. Either way, they have made excellent progress under Thiago Motta this season.

Bologna has had excellent match statistics against Sassuolo in recent years but is unlikely to be able to count on success in Reggio Nel Emilia this time around. Thiago Motta's side has been markedly underperforming at the end of the season, and it is no coincidence that they have failed to win in four successive rounds. Sassuolo, on the other hand, is in great form in the second half of the season, even in those games where they are not winning points. We're betting on Sassuolo and a more or less productive match.
