Claudio Ranieri is Roma's third coach this season, and the most successful so far. He returned to Rome off to a bit of a shaky start with two defeats in a row, but he's since earned seven points in four rounds. In Serie A, the Giallorossi moved up to tenth place and are at least safe from the relegation zone, where they nearly ended up under the previous coaches. In the Europa League, the hosts still got a shot at qualifying for the round of 16, sitting only two points behind the top eight teams before the final two rounds.
Last round, Roma played away against Milan and didn't lose, which led to the Rossoneri's head coach, Paolo Fonseca, resigning. The Yellows and Reds missed in the 16th minute, but got back on track with Paulo Dybala's efforts in the 23rd. The scoreline stayed at 1:1 until the end of the game. Not a bad result, considering everything that happened. Before that, Roma had won two home games in a row – 5:0 over Parma in Serie A and 4:1 over Sampdoria in the round of 16 of the Coppa.
Lazio
The Biancocelesti got their head coach straight away. Under Marco Baroni, Lazio has been doing well all season, and they're in a good place considering their limited resources. The visitors are currently fourth in the league, and in the Europa League, they top the standings. Only Athletic Bilbao has gained as many points as Lazio (16) over the six rounds of the European Cup.
In the last round, the viistors faced Atalanta at home. Lazio crushed their opponents in the first half and deservedly took the lead – Fisayo Dele-Bashiru scored on 27 minutes. But Lazio failed to keep their lead. In fact, the team literally squandered the victory – on 88 minutes, Brescianini, who came on as a substitute, levelled the score. Lazio didn't win, but they're still holding strong in fourth place in the Champions League spot.

A derby is a derby, but let's start with how the teams have been doing this season. Roma has improved under Claudio Ranieri, but they've still had their fair share of setbacks. For example, the Giallorossi recently lost 0:2 away to Como. Lazio has been on a steady course since the start of the season, are deservedly in the Champions League zone in Serie A, leading the current UEL. The match against Atalanta also showed that Lazio are still in good form, so we're betting on the visitors.
