Roma vs Atalanta Prediction: The Giallorossi will be closer to victory

In the fifth leg, the Giallorossi played away against Udinese and lost 0:4. Next, they had an unsuccessful trip to Bulgaria to face Ludogorets in the Europa League (1:2). But then they picked up two wins in a row. First, on Matchday 6 of the domestic championship, Roma beat a tough Empoli side (2:1) away and then improved their European title standing with a 3:0 home win over Finland's HJK.

Atalanta

The team isn't playing in UEFA competitions this season, so Atalanta's successful start to the domestic championship, on which they can concentrate entirely, is not at all surprising. In the first five rounds, Bergamo has won four games, losing only one point at home to reigning champions AC Milan (1:1). On Matchday 6, however, Atalanta was unexpectedly unable to stop a lowly Cremonese 1:1 on home soil.

Atalanta isn't playing the same kind of football as before. They are now focused on playing strictly in defense. José Mourinho's Roma also plays balanced football - if you exclude the disappointing encounter against Udinese, the Romans have conceded only two goals in their other five games in this league. Atalanta has conceded only three goals in six games, so it's unlikely they will be able to score. In addition, the advantage is worth giving to the Romans - they play at home, and the selection of players for the current Conference League winner looks more solid than for the club from Bergamo.
