Lecce vs Verona Prediction: The visitors won't lose

This is Lecce's debut season since their return to Serie A, so they have not had a good debut. The Red and Yellow had just one win in their opening 13 fixtures, but they improved. At the moment, Marco Baroni's side is favorites to win the title in 16th place, four points ahead of the Bianconeri, but could reduce their lead to one point following a face-off. The team is in top form, as they have lost just once in their last five matches, but the Red Yellows have eight defeats in their previous ten outings. The visitors have won their last three head-to-head encounters, so it's a good bet that Verona doesn't lose.

Lecce and Verona are the teams that rank among the three worst in Serie A in terms of goals scored. In 33 games, the Red and Yellow have only managed 28 goals (0.85 average per game), while the Yellow and Blue have 27 goals against (0.82 average per game). Both totals are extremely poor, and the upcoming encounter will be a fight for survival in Italy's top flight, so the price of error will be many times greater than in any ordinary league game.
