Lazio vs Napoli Prediction: Sarri won’t outplay Spalletti again

Lazio suffered a disappointing loss of points against Sampdoria and will now take on Napoli. Will Maurizio Sarri's team be able to beat the opponent led by Luciano Spalletti? We will choose several bets at once. 

Lazio missed out on a win

After a 3-1 home win over Inter, Maurizio Sarri's team visited Sampdoria in Genoa. The Biancocelesti opened the scoring quickly thanks to Ciro Immobile's efforts but were unable to extend their lead before the end of the game. But when it looked like Lazio would be able to bring the match to a narrow victory, Sampa's attacking leader Manolo Gabbiadini woke up. 1-1, as Lazio conceded in injury time and lost 2 points.

In addition to the victory over Inter and a draw with Sampdoria, Lazio also had a 2-1 home victory over Bologna and a nil away draw with Torino at the start of the championship.

Napoli also missed out on points

Luciano Spalletti's team hosted Lecce in the previous round and unexpectedly lost points. Elif Elmas's goal in the 27th minute was answered by a modest opponent four minutes later. Having 12 shots on goal in the second half, Napoli failed to score their second goal. 1-1, an upsetting draw for Napoli, which was their second in a row. Prior to that, Napoli played a nil draw with Fiorentina on the road. In the first two rounds of the new championship, the Southerners scored two wins: 5-2 away against Verona and 4-0 at home against Monza.

Last season, Sarri's Lazio lost twice to Spalletti's Napoli. It looks like the Romans are unlikely to win this game either. The Neapolitans are definitely pissed about a home draw with Lecce and will do everything they can to make up for this debacle in the derby. Although it is not worth betting on a Neapolitans win here either – as the matches with Fiorentina and Lecce have shown, the team has difficulties with creation and realization of scoring chances. The departure of Lorenzo Insigne and Dries Mertens simply could not go unnoticed.
