When Bochum travels to the MHP Arena on Saturday to play Stuttgart, they will try to record their first Bundesliga victory. After losing to Eintracht Frankfurt 2-3 at home, Stuttgart is trying to bounce back. On Saturday afternoon at MHPArena, they take on Bochum, who are at the bottom of the table, in Matchday No. 11. Two weeks earlier, Stuttgart suffered another home loss against Eintracht Frankfurt, this time by a score of 2-3.
In the first 10 rounds of the season, they have only managed three victories. Sebastian Hoeness, the head coach, saw many good things from the aforementioned loss, nevertheless. With 11 shots on goal, Stuttgart was the most threatening team on the field and looked excellent offensively.
The division's poorest defensive line is now facing them. Despite holding the defending champions Bayer Leverkusen to a 1-1 draw at Vonovia Ruhrstadion last time out, Bochum remains the league's only team without a win. Before losing 0-1 against Bochum on the road in January of this year, Stuttgart had a three-game winning streak in this fixture.
With 28 wins, 8 draws, and only 4 losses in their last 40 meetings in front of their supporters, Stuttgart has been a formidable force in this game at home. In their last two home games against Bochum, Stuttgart scored nine goals.

After winning three, drawing four, and losing three of their ten games, Stuttgart has found it difficult to replicate the success of their second-place finish from the previous season. After losing their last three games prior to the two-week break, Sebastian Hoeneß's team might have been relieved by the international window's timing.
The Schwaben lost 2-0 to Atalanta in their Champions League match after playing to a goalless draw with Bundesliga winners Bayer Leverkusen. In their most recent match against Eintracht Frankfurt, they put up a late comeback but lost again. Frankfurt had taken a three-goal lead, but goals from Nick Woltemade and Josha Vagnoman cut the gap to one. Stuttgart, however, suffered their first home league loss since October 2023, proving that it was too little, too late.
Given that they have defeated Bochum 9-1 in their past two home games, they will be confident in their ability to win again on Saturday.
VfL Bochum
After losing eight of their ten league games and drawing two, Bochum is still looking for their first victory of the year. Due to their dismal performance, Bochum is currently wallowing at the bottom of the standings, six points clear of a relegation playoff berth and seven points off of safety.
After dropping six of their first seven Bundesliga games, Die Unabsteigbaren decided to fire Peter Zeidler. Following that, Markus Feldhoff and Murat Ural were appointed interim managers for two games, managing a 7-2 away loss to Frankfurt and a 5-0 loss to Bayern Munich.
Fortunately for Bochum, their new permanent manager, Dieter Hecking, ended a run of five straight losses. Hecking began his term as Zeidler's successor with a promising 1-1 draw against Bayer Leverkusen, the defending champions. Koji Miyoshi saved a valuable point for his team with an equalizer in the 89th minute.
Since Bochum's 4-3 away victory over Union Berlin in May, Hecking will now have to put an end to a skid of six straight away league losses.

This Bundesliga season, Bochum has lost all five of their away games while giving up 17 goals. They now face Stuttgart, who have so far this season put on incomparably stronger home performances than away ones.
Despite losing to Frankfurt in the previous round, Stuttgart's attacking performance was excellent. We wouldn't be shocked to see Bochum score on Saturday given Stuttgart's two clean sheets in the previous ten games in all competitions.
Although Stuttgart will win, BTTS is also anticipated.
