Strasbourg were hoping for a better end of the game against RC Lens last week after their Coup de France triumph days earlier. But they were poor all through and they got punished for it. Now they are eager for a recovery as they prepare to take on Lorient at home in this game. 

Lorient are just beginning to build a winning run after their back-to-back wins in their last 2 matches. They are also eager to keep building, but they might face a tough task doing that away from home against a very desperate Strasbourg team.

They defeated Stade Reims last weekend in the most dramatic fashion. The game was heading to a certain draw until Mohammed Bamba broke the deadlock in the 70th minute to put Lorient in the lead. And in the 87th minute Tiemoue Bakayoko struck for the second goal to put the game beyond doubt. Lorient were however disappointing in possession as they managed only 39%.

Lorient will need to up their game if they must compete with Strasbourg in this fixture. They lost the first fixture already and they can't afford to capitulate to another defeat against Strasbourg.
