Stade Louis II

Following the international break, Monaco will resume their Ligue 1 season at home against Strasbourg on Sunday, April 2 at the Stade Louis II. After three games without a win, the hosts triumphed 2-0 at Ajaccio thanks to goals from Wissam Ben Yedder and Krepin Diatta.
Monaco is ranked fourth in Ligue 1 with 54 points. Meanwhile, Strasbourg has won three games in a succession. They beat Auxerre 2-0 at home, with Habib Diallo and Gerzino Nyamsi scoring. They have only lost once in five league encounters, rising to 15th in the points standings. Expect BTTS and goals over 2.5 if both teams score.

Despite a win over Ajaccio just before the international break, Monaco dropped a lot of ground in March, dropping to third position behind Lens. They were ousted from the Europa League on home soil after a devastating spot shootout defeat to Bayer Leverkusen after winning the away encounter.
Monaco's five-game winning streak ended when they were defeated 3-2 in regular time, their first setback since November. The loss to Leverkusen appears to have derailed their season, with Philippe Clement's team picking up just one point in their next three games.
Back-to-back home losses to Nice and Reims, both without scoring, allowed Lens to close the gap and re-enter the Champions League. They have not lost three consecutive home games since 2018, and their recent form against Strasbourg does not auger well, despite defeating Strasbourg in the first encounter this season.
They haven't done the double over Strasbourg since 2017-18, dropping five of their last eight games before winning on the first day.
Monaco's record against these opponents used to be fantastic, particularly at home, with a run of 22 victories and a tie from 23 home games between the 1980s and 2017.
A repeat of the game would have been probably a month or so ago, but Strasbourg has improved significantly since employing Frederic.

Strasbourg (WLLDD)
Under former coach Julien Stephan, Strasbourg managed to accrue only 11 points in the first 17 league games played. It was therefore obvious that something new was needed to change the fortune of the away side. After finishing sixth with 63 points the prior season, the decline was almost unfathomable.
The appointment of Antonetti as head coach led Strasbourg to accrue eight points in five games and subsequently bring Strasbourg out of the relegation zone. They are still three points above the drop, but the signs are much better than they were in early 2023. A player that can frustrate Monaco's defence is Habib Diallo who has scored a whooping 2/3 of Strasbourg's goals in the league.
