Oman has never made it to the final part of the FIFA World Cup, and the chances of making it in 2026 are pretty slim as well. Even at the continental championships, the Reds and Whites aren't playing as well as they could be, as they've never gone further than the round of 16 in the Asian Cup. Now, the hosts play in the third round, but they still need to perform better. The team lost to Iraq, South Korea, and Jordan and only managed to beat Kuwait 4:0. Oman is currently in fourth place in Group B, four points behind the top two.
Palestine
Palestine has never reached a World Cup final. What's more, until 2015, they hadn't even made it to the continental championships. After that, the visitors qualified for three consecutive Asian Cups and qualified for the last 16 in the most recent tournament. Building on that success, they caused a stir in the opening round of the third stage when they drew 0:0 with South Korea in Seoul. After that, the team lost to Jordan and Iraq 1:3 and 0:2 and drew with Kuwait 0:0. Palestine is currently at the bottom of the Group B standings.
Expert Betting Tips
The teams do not perform at a high level, so they'll unlikely qualify for the World Cup. However, the hosts have a good chance of at least making it to the next round, as they're still in the top 4 of the standings. A home field is a significant advantage, and they're up against the team at the bottom of Group B. Oman also won the last two games, so it looks like they will win this one.
The latter has been playing exceptionally well lately. Not only do they avoid draws, but they also like to defeat their opponents with a large score. In their last three games, the visitors failed twice, to South Korea and Jordan, but beat Kuwait. Meanwhile, Palestine has defensive problems, conceding 11 goals in their last five games (2.20 on average).
